My sister and I are going to the big apple next week!

I am beyond excited. I have shared my love for New York on this little blog many times so excuse me for one more rant. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LOVE ABOUT NEW YORK. Shopping, eating at amazing restaurants, shopping, people watching, shopping, walking around central park, shopping, Jay-Z, shopping... I think that's it? I can't wait to be back in the city that I love most with my sister that I love most spending time with miss Maggie, my fairy god mother who I love most.  

What is your favorite thing to do in NY?

I have been many times but usually end up doing similar things.

I would LOVE to hear any suggestions of fun things to do in October in the concrete jungle.

Fillin' in the blanks, been a long time.

1. Something I am very proud of is... Boyfriend. 100x over I am proud of boyfriend. He has endured so much with his back surgery and recovery and in just two weeks he is moving to the bay area to start an amazing job that I know he will absolute thrive in. So so so so proud.

2. My favorite thing about myself is ... Probably that I have long legs? I like being somewhat tall.

3. My favorite color for fall is ... Burgundy // wine.

4. Something I've been learning lately is ... Getting my happiness from the Lord and not from anyone else.

5. A book I am reading now/have read recently is ... LOVE DOES by Bob Goff. Please please eveyone, do yourself the favor of buying this book. Makes me want to live a whimsy life filled with love.

6. My favorite Pandora Station is ... Needtobreathe or The Lumineers.

7. This weekend I will .. be going to Eugene to hang with friends, see new born babies and yell O at Autzen stadium. LOVE collge football.

Monogram everythang

I am not from the south.

In fact, I am not even that fancy.

But I cannot help but love monograms. I am in love with the gold necklaces and earrings. I think the monogram phone cases are adorable as well. Maybe when I get new initials one day (!!!!!) I will splurge and get a beautful monogram something.

Repurposing your mom's clothes

And in today's case, your friend's mom's clothes.

I was given a bag of clothes to poke through from a good family friend of mine. The bag was filled with items that she no long wanted, or didn't have the right pieces to style with them. This is always my favorite thing, taking things people no longer want and making them work for me.

The item I repurposed today was this top from LA Made. I was inspired by some of my pinterest pins below to pair this eyelet top with an H&M under dress.

Former editor of Harpers Bazaar Russia, curator of cute, rocker of short ombre hair, and one fashionable mom. I must admit that I when I see her, I want to chop all my hair off (which is a scary thought). I love her style because I think it's the perfect mix of high fashion and ready to wear items. Also, don't even get me started on how amazing her style was when she was rocking her baby bump... thats another post for another time.
