Featured on UOFITS

A girl at the University of Oregon started a blog documenting street fashion on campus. I had no idea who she was, what she looked like, or even if she was a student. I stumbled across her blog one day and thought, man, I want to get on that site. It had become a dream of mine, a senior year bucket list item if you will, to be stopped by this mysterious blogger and ask to be featured on UOFITS. 

And yesterday that dream came true.

It turns out that the creator of UOFITS, Megan, is in my 10 person Italian film class. From the first day of class I had my eye on her because she has awesome ombre hair and her style is always on-point. She casually lets slip that she has a fashion and putting two and two together the light bulb went on and my lifelong search for this blog creator came to fruition. 

So thank you, Megan, and thank you, neon pants, for featuring me on UOFITS!

Why not?

I realize that, when shopping, I gravitate towards the same colors: white,black,grey, and navy blue. This being said, most of my wardrobe consists of solid basics. I have the occasional print or bright color, but most things are pretty simple. I recently bought some awesome neon pants and have been inspired lately to do more mixing and matching of different colors and prints as well as branching out and buying more bold and fun colors! I'll post some of my outfits here soon!

Desert photo shoot part 1

My friend, Haley Graham, takes great photos. She has asked me a few times to take pictures with her and they have always turned out so great! Haley does such a good job of directing and finding crazy awesome light. She asked me to do a photo shoot in the Desert while my best friend Katie and I were in Palm Desert. Here are some of the photos of the first look we did ...

Maxi skirt and my new obsession

This denim vest.

Man, let me you... this vest has gotten around. I fell in love with it in the store but thought that I might not wear it, being as it is a bit edgier than what I normally wear. But, decided to purchase it anyway and push myself to wear it because the thought of styling it with my more simple pieces got me excited. 

I've worn it with high wasted mauve shorts.

I've worn it with jeans and lots of jewelry.

I've worn it over dresses.

& I've worn it with this maxi skirt.

This denim vest might be my new obsession.

Neon pants and Hunger Games

The night The Hunger Games came out I was driving through the desert to Las Vegas. I was so upset that I could not go see it on opening night that Katie promised me we could go once we got to Palm Desert. We spent the first couple of days relaxing by the pool but I kept asking "When are we going to go see it, when are we going to go see it !?" Finally, day four, we went.

It was worth the wait.

The movie was definitely not what I was expecting but it followed the book so well that I really appreciated and enjoyed it. There were only a few parts that didn't match up with the book (um, HELLO... that is NOT how Katniss gets the mocking jay pin) but most everything else was exactly how I imagined it. I cannot WAIT for the next one ! 

Oh, and I wore neon pants to the theatre. :)
