The sun came out, a little

The sun showed his cute little face today, for a little. I know we still have months to go before summer but man I miss that sun! I feel like I could use a little vitamin D, what about you guys?

In little less than 2 months I will be in VEGAS and then PALM SPRINGS.

Man, I am a lucky girl. 

See you then, Mr.Sun. 

Fear of the unknown

We all have it. 

Thinking about what job I will have, where I am going to live and what I am going to be doing next year can really strike fear into my heart. 

But instead of wasting my days away with worry I remember that if I just trust that God will provide and take care of these little details, He will. I want to go wherever He wants me to go and do whatever work He wants me to do. 

Instead of being afraid, I will trust in Him.

'Cause nothing I ever plan really works out anyway.   :)

Manfriend

So I have this manfriend, and I think he's great.

We do the long distance thing, and it sucks.

But, we survive.

Since we are apart so often and so much of my time is spent on Pinterest, I made a special board just for him. I created it so that as I was pinning and saw things that reminded me of him I had the perfect place to keep 'em. Boyfriend is quite the stylish man, takes after his woman, so most pins are of cool outfits with some inside jokes or lovey dovey stuff mixed in that I'm sure get scrolled over by most of my pin followers. :)

Today I miss Africa

It's nothing new. I often have moments in my day when I think about Zim and my friends there. Sometimes it makes me smile, sometimes it makes me want to cry, but it always makes me feel the need to pray. Africa is my home, somewhere I will cherish and a place I always want to go back to. I like that life there is simple. The relationships there are so pure and genuine. I want that life.

Do you ever just open your closet and think " what the heck do I wear today?"

Do you ever see an outfit in a magazine, on a blog or on someone passing you on the street and you think "Hey, I have those exact pieces"?

Well, I do. 

My friend, Pam, does something BRILLIANT to fix this problem. Whenever she sees an ad in a fashion magazine that includes items she already owns, or items very SIMILAR to what she already owns, she cuts them out and places them into a binder. When she has trouble picking out an outfit in the morning she flips through her book and gets inspired to create a great look for the day! 

Pam inspired me to do the same, but via Pinterest (surprised anyone?)
