The night The Hunger Games came out I was driving through the desert to Las Vegas. I was so upset that I could not go see it on opening night that Katie promised me we could go once we got to Palm Desert. We spent the first couple of days relaxing by the pool but I kept asking "When are we going to go see it, when are we going to go see it !?" Finally, day four, we went.
It was worth the wait.
The movie was definitely not what I was expecting but it followed the book so well that I really appreciated and enjoyed it. There were only a few parts that didn't match up with the book (um, HELLO... that is NOT how Katniss gets the mocking jay pin) but most everything else was exactly how I imagined it. I cannot WAIT for the next one !
Oh, and I wore neon pants to the theatre. :)

I loved the movie. I went to the midnight showing and it was so cool! They didn't include Madge, which was different, but I think they did that so Katniss and Prim could have a closer relationship. Or something like that. :)
