1. My favorite color is .. everything. I love color. I always say my favorite color is purple but I like pale turqoise, slate/faded navy blue, coral, linen... I have a feeling my house someday could potentially be very colorful.

2. My travel destination of choice is .. Africa? Someplace that is beautiful, has quiet spots, but also has fun things to explore.

3. My favorite food is ... Sushi, grilled cheese, loaded salads, peaches... lots of things :)

4. My happy place is .. Young Life Camp

5. My favorite saying is .. celebrate we will cause life is short but sweet for certain and don't be a hard rock when you really are a gem baby girl

6. My dirty little secret is that ... I love trash TV about women in New Jersey or NY.. mob wives, RHW of NJ, Bethanny...so bad but so good.

7. Something friends might say about me is ... They might say I over commit and don't leave enough room for fun things but I would hope they would say that I am a good listener and offer helpful advice.

Color love

The other day I bought nail polish which I never do. First of all I'm horrible at painting my nails, although practice has made me better, and I never know what polishes are good and if the colors is ever going to come out right. I have been wanting to paint my nails a coral-peachy-pink color for some time now and I thought that I would just have to wait until I went to a salon or something (which is rarely ever) to get the kind of nails I was looking for. BUT friends.. I'm here to tell you that I found this amazing color from Walreens (gasp!) and it was only $5 (applause)! It is Sally Hansen complete salon manicure and the color is Casting Call . I would highly recommend going out and getting it. 

Fill in the blank friday

1.   One of my happiest moments ever was .. Being in Africa or anytime that I was serving at Wildhorse, or being a camper or leader at Malibu.

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are .. lovely. I have only been to a few but I love love going to them. I think weddings are beautiful and I always am curious to see how the Bride and Groom put everything together. There is just something about two people in love getting married in front of all these people who support them, it's really amazing. I also like to dance a little bit too :) 

   

3.  This summer .. is going by way super fast. 

4.  My summer food of choice has been ... Salads with lots and lots of different veggies in it.

5.  My summer uniform has been .. work clothes! But luckily our dress code isn't too strict so I have been able to wear what I want for the most part. I have been in love with my wide leg trouser jeans though, they go with everything, are super comfortable and look really great.  

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose .. Wildhorse Canyon or Malibu Club, easy.

7.  My summer anthem is... Summertime but Kenny Chesney, In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry, or Red Rag Top by Tim McGraw

Sui for Me

If I were rich and famous I would have all my dresses be Anna Sui. Even her more casual items are to die for.

let me fill you in ...

1. The best news I ever received was ... Probably that initial e-mail from the Hopkin's saying they were going to Zimbabwe and wanted to take some of their beloved college students.

2. Something I'm looking forward to... Going to TENESSEE in August. Any fun suggestions of things to do in Knoxville ??

3. Something I would never do is ... Bungee jump or base jump or cliff jump.. I basically just don't wanna jump and free fall into well ... anything. Gives me the shivers.

4. If I could choose someone to be my life coach (famous or not, living or dead)... Jesus? He's dead and alive does that count? Or anyone who really exudes christs in their everyday and leads a fun and happy life. Ooo or Gwenyth Paltrow.

5. If I had to put a label on my style it would be ... wearable. I like to mix trends and basics, keep it comfortable, while being polished and fashionable. But over all if it ain't wearable or atleast somewhat comfortable, it ain't happening.

6. One should always ... choose joy, and give people the benefit of the doubt.

7. I want to take a trip to .. Ha as if I could pick one place. Europe is on my radar next, though.

I'm a girl after all

I have always hated pink. I never wore it, never liked girls that did, and really avoided it at all costs. However I have had a change of heart lately. First it started out with this whole neutral craze that's been going on. I fell in love with pale pale pinks and peonies and pastel lips. But now with color-blocking (which I am so into), pop colors, and bolder statement accessories/make-up I am here to say that I actaully like pink. I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth. But.. you can quote me.

Day 11

Fillin' in to let you know I'm alive

1. My plans this summer include... Workin' my days away at Intel, spending my nights with my family and boyfriend, taking weekend adventures to central Oregon and the mountain, taking a getaway to Tennessee to see my dear friends and attend a lovely wedding, and hopefully getting some sleep in between (as well as get back on my blogging game).

2. The best summer I ever had .. was last summer! Spent 20ish days exploring Africa with the most amazing people and being amoungst God's work and creation there which has been my lifelong dream. He taught me so much and truly showed me who I was and how he made me to be. Came home and spent sweet time with friends only to then hop back on a plane and visit my fairy godmother, Maggie, in my most favorite city : New York. Ahh my heart just skipped a beat thinking about how incredible my adventures were.

3. Summer is ... two barefeet on the dashboard young love and an old ford. Iced team and warm nights. And a whole lot of other things.

4. My favorite summer food is ... Fresh produce (namely berries, but I love veggies from our garden), Iced Tea, and hot dogs! Mmm

5. The best way to quench a summer thirst is .. Did I mention that I like iced tea? Ok good. Also any kind of  lemonade (lavender, strawberry, blackberry..I could go on for days), and the ever so classic Coke in a bottle. (But I especially like it with sugar cane not syrup...how they sell it in Africa)

6. My summer uniform consists of ... Besides work clothes? Cut off jeans shorts and flowy tops and tees, dresses, barefeet, and messy buns.

7. The best thing about summer is ... Summer evenings, it staying light out until 9pm, sun, freckles, warm skin, no school, colors, summer style, fresh air, and fun adventures.
